By law every customer must have a tv licence when purchasing a television set or any appliance with a built-in tv. Makro customers can purchase tv licences at their nearest Makro store.
The salesperson in the computers & communication department will assist customers with this. The salesperson will access the easypay website and ask for the following information

Once all the information is entered into the system, an acknowledgement receipt is printed by the salesperson who will then accompany the customer to the cashier in the computers & communication department to enter the barcode and the easypay reference number at the till point.
The cost of a tv licence is R225.00 per year which needs to be renewed each year. Pensioners and farmers pay R65 per year and also need to renew their tv license each year. All normal payment types will be accepted. Customers should retain the till slip as proof of payment.
