Terms & Conditions

1. This competition starts on 01February 2010 and ends on 31 March 2010. 2. This competition is open to all residents of the Republic of South Africa except the employees of Makro and Brandhouse Beverages (Pty) Ltd, trading as Brandhouse, their respective advertising and promotional agencies, media and PR agencies, as well as the family members, consultants, directors, associates, and trading partners of such organisations and persons. 3. All entrants must be over the age of 18 years old at the date of entry and will be required to exhibit valid identity documents as proof thereof. 4. To enter, purchase a case of Guinness® at Makro with a Makro purchasing card and you will be entered automatically into a prize draw to stand a chance to win a Guinness® branded bar fridge. 5. The winner will be chosen on 05 April 2010 by Makro Manager through a random draw and winners will be notified telephonically within 7 (seven) days of the draw. The prize will be collected at the store where the participant has won the prize. If the winner is not contactable for one month after the prize draw, the prize will be forfeited to the promoter for a redraw. 6. All participants must ensure that their complete, accurate and up to date name, contact telephone number and South African identity number are captured and appear on the Makro SAP Customer Relationship Management system. (“Makro SAP CRM system”). 7. For the purposes of these terms and conditions, "customer" means the natural person whose name, contact telephone number and South African identity number are reflected on the Makro SAP CRM System at the time of the draw and whose Makro card is used to purchase the product of the participating brand. 8. By entering the competition, all participants accept and agree to abide by these rules, terms and conditions. 9. All prizes are not transferable, and may not be exchanged for cash. 10. Brandhouse and Makro reserve the right to withdraw or amend this promotion, including the prizes, in the event of any unforeseen circumstances or factors outside of its control. 11. Brandhouse and Makro reserve the right to substitute the prize for another prize of like value at any time and for any reason. 12. The Promoters’ decision as to the winners is final and no correspondence will be entered into. 13. Neither Brandhouse nor Makro, its respective advertising, promotion, media and PR agencies, nor their trading partners shall be liable in any way whatsoever for any loss, damage or costs, howsoever arising, suffered by a participant in this competition and/or winner of the prizes offered. 14. The winners may be required to take part in publicity and participation in the competition is conditional upon agreement to take part in such publicity. All and any materials, including publicity materials, will be the sole property of the promoter. 15. The laws of the Republic of South Africa govern these terms and conditions and participants agree to exclusive jurisdiction of the South African Courts.
