Terms & Conditions

 

 

Please read these terms and conditions carefully. The terms and conditions set out below apply to all participants purchasing the participating products that will be converted to points in the reward program conducted by Makro South Africa (registration number: 1991/006805/07) and Kraft Foods South Africa (Pty) Limited (the Promoter), 18 Harrowdene Office Park, Kelvin Drive Woodmead, Sandton, 2191, Tel: 011 253 4000 begin_of_the_skype_highlighting ("the Promoter"). Purchases on the participating products that will be converted to points in the Makro reward program will serve as acceptance by the participant of all the related terms and conditions.
1. The rewards program commences on 1 August 2011 and ends on 31 October 2011. (being the earliest and the latest dates for purchases that will be converted into points in the rewards program respectively)  2. All Makro customers except employees of Makro South Africa and the Promoter, any of its Associated Companies, their merchandisers, advertising, promotional and PR agencies and all their immediate families are eligible to take part in the rewards program provided that –they are citizens of South Africa.  3. Their complete, accurate and up to date email address or cell phone number is captured on the Makro SAP Customer Relationship Management system ("SAP CRM system");  4. Entry into the rewards program is automatic, using the customer details and actual purchasing data on the SAP CRM system.  5. Entry into the rewards program is through the purchases of the following participating products: Lunch Bar 62gr Mansize, Lunchbar 46gr Lunchbar Dream 46gr, Crunchie 33gr  Large, Astros 40gr Large and Tempo 53gr Large, Tempo Powernut 53gr, PS 46gr,or PS CDM 46gr  all in outers. Please note that no other products are eligible for this Promotion. 6. 10 rewards will be earned for every one case purchased (Lunchbar, PS, Crunchie, Astro’s 1x40’s) (Lunchbar Mansize, Tempo 1x30’s)  7. Only customers who have earned 100 rewards or more qualify to place an order during the redeeming period.  A maximum of 500 rewards per customer is permitted.  8. Rewards earned on one product may not be redeemed against another.  9. Prize details for points redeemed:100 points – 1x Achorage shoulder bag or A Grandstand pen and pencil set.  For 200 Points you can choose between a Dakota Sports Bag or Picnic Blanket. For 300 Points you can choose between a Busby Black Mens Nappa leather wallet or 12 Piece Steak an Knife set. For 500 points you can choose between a Benton Trolley backpack or a swiss LCD Radio/Alarm clock  10. The accumulated points will be communicated via email or sms by Makro.  11.  Only customers who place an order will receive their chosen prizes. 12. Orders after the redeeming period has closed will not be honoured – no late orders will be accepted.  13.  Prizes will only be available at the end of the promotion.  14. The prizes must be collected from your nominated Makro store, within 60 days of being notified. Failure to do so will result in the prizes being forfeited and sent back to the supplier.  15. The prizes are not transferable and may not be deferred, changed or exchanged for cash or any other item.  16.  Unless we state a specific limitation, Makro will attempt to have sufficient advertised prizes available to meet consumers’ anticipated demands. If we still run out of prizes, we will attempt to obtain the stock or we will offer you a reasonable alternative. 17. Purchasing data will be based on the net purchases of full outers, after returns have been deducted. 18.  It is the customers’ responsibility to ensure that their cell phone number or email address captured on the SAP CRM system is complete, accurate and up to date. 19. Makro reserves the right to vary, postpone, suspend or cancel the Rewards program, or any aspect thereof, without notice at any time, for any reason which Makro reasonably deems necessary. 20. At  Makro's request, winners must participate in all promotional activity (such as publicity and photography) surrounding the winning of the prize, free of charge, and they consent to Makro using their name, likeness, image and/or voice in the event they are a winner (including photograph, film and/or recording of the same) in promotional material or in any media for an unlimited period without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this competition (including any outcome), and promoting any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Promoter.
