Can I choose to collect instead of accepting delivery?

You will have the option to collect when concluding your purchases on Makro Online.

Unfortunately, items sold by third party sellers/ online exclusives cannot be collected in-store or from pick-up lockers – these are only available for delivery directly to you.

Where do you deliver to?

We only deliver within the borders of South Africa, and there may be additional charges for deliveries to outlying areas.

Will you deliver liquor?

We will deliver liquor however the recipient must be 18 years of age or older. If you are a trader, liquor will only be delivered to the address that appears on the liquor licence.

What if my purchase is too big and cannot fit through the door or entrance?

Our delivery service is not authorised to modify or tamper with your purchase or residence under any circumstances. They are instructed to leave the unit in a safe area on your property if available or it will be returned to Makro. Please note that Makro will not be liable for any damages if you have instructed the delivery company to modify, tamper or force the purchase through your entrance.

How will I know when my order will be delivered?

We have a "track and trace” status that can be viewed when you log into your profile. You will also be receiving SMSs from our appointed delivery partner when your parcel is on route to you.

What will be the delivery cost for items purchased online?

Delivery costs vary and are charged according to weight, dimensions and the area we are delivering to. When concluding your online transaction a delivery charge will be automatically calculated and included to your total. The minimum cost for delivery will be R55.

My order has not arrived, what do I do?

We provide a facility for you to track your order online. Once logged onto online shopping, navigate to My Profile and My Online Orders to view the status of your order or orders, alternately contact us on 0860 600 999.

Where can I collect my liquor order?

Your liquor order can only be collected in Makro's Liquor Store and your general merchandise order can only be collected in the Makro Main Store due to liquor legislation.

When can I expect my delivery?

Estimated time of delivery is within 2-5 days from the time the payment is cleared. We will communicate with you should there be a delay. Deliveries will only be made to the designated delivery address between 8am and 5pm Mondays to Fridays. No deliveries will be made on weekends and public holidays. Online Exclusive orders can take up to 7-10 working days.

I was not available to accept your delivery. How do I get my delivery now?

Please contact us on 0860 600 999 to make arrangements for an alternative delivery option. Makro reserves the right to charge you an additional delivery fee if an alternate date and time is required.

How soon can I collect my order?

Orders can take up to 5 days to arrange. We will communicate with you informing you on the status of your order.
