Lockers

What is a Makro Locker?

A Makro locker is a convenient and safe compartment that will accept your delivery provided it meets the locker size.

Why should I use a locker?

If you are unavailable to accept your delivery at home or work and prefer to collect you order after normal trading hours at any of the convenient located sites, then a locker would be an ideal choice. Lockers will be located in convenient secure locations like selected office parks, Sasol Service Stations, Makro stores and some fast food chains which will allow you the flexibility to collect your order at your own leisure. Lockers in office parks and Makro stores will only be available for collection during the operating hours of these businesses.

What items qualify for lockers?

Our website will inform you which items qualify for a locker delivery. Multiple products in an order can qualify for a locker delivery provided they all fit into one locker, or meet the locker volumetric.

Please note that items purchased on Makro’s website from third party sellers will not be available for collection in stores or delivery to lockers. These items will only be delivered to you directly.

What if I cannot collect my order in time?

You will have 48 hours from the time we inform you that your order is ready for collection. We will send you reminders as well. If you have exceeded the 48 hours to collect your order, Makro will cancel your order and refund you according to your payment method.

How will you refund me?

Refunds will be processed against the type of payment made for the purchase i.e. credit card, EFT or eBucks and for the exact price paid. A refund can take up to 7 working days to reflect in your bank account. Note that EFT refunds will require verification of your banking details, so please allow 7 working days from the time an online agent has confirmed your banking details for the refund to reflect.

What should I do if I’m not satisfied with my order?

Your order should not be left in the locker should you not be entirely satisfied with it. Please contact us on 0860 600 999 within 24 hours of receipt of your order and our contact centre will gladly assist you with your requirements. Our contact centre operates on weekends and some public holidays. Please refer to our trading hours.

What should I do if I cannot open the locker?

If the locker will not open, please contact our technical support contact centre on 0861 803 080 (office hours only).
