Solid foam roller (also known as high-density foam roller) is a widely used tool for muscle relaxation, physical therapy, massage and flexibility training. Compared with the common hollow foam roller, the solid foam roller is firmer and can provide deeper massage and muscle relaxation effects.
How to use:
- Place the foam roller under the muscle group and roll it with your body weight. You can roll back and forth from the starting point to the end point of the muscle, and it is recommended to last 30 seconds to 2 minutes for each part.
- Focus on muscle groups that tend to be tight, such as your hamstrings, buttocks, calves, and back. If there are areas that are particularly tight, spend more time in those areas.
- Taking deep, long breaths while rolling will help relax your muscles and increase the relaxation effect.
Precautions:
- Do not place the foam roller directly over bones, joints, or any known areas of injury.
- You may feel pain or discomfort when using it for the first time. It is recommended to gradually increase the use time and intensity. Each use time should be controlled within 15-30 minutes.
