Lightweight pool Filter Media Pool Cleaner  (Pack of 1)

We bought Eco Fibre at Builders in Boksburg and switched to Eco Fibre. Within hours our pool was cristal clear. We could not believe our eyes after battling for years with sediment and green pool. It's a week now and after a week of rain and no chlorine added, the pool is still sparkling blue. At last no sluggish creepy which reach all areas. The best Xmas gift we bought ourselves. Thanks you to the Sales lady at the pool section for your advice and excellent service.

In the first 3 months you will think this is the future for pool filters. Then you start to see backwash does not work any more. So you check the product instruction again and n now you have to start washing. so you spend 2 days taking it all out washing (need a new bucket of water every 3 blocks)put it back. 2 months later you have to do it again. after each was its life gets shorter. by the end i had to wash about every 2 weeks. Back to sand. Cant be happier.

Useless product. The key feature is that you do not to backwash however, the time and water that it takes to clean the dirty foam will be more than doing a 2 min backwash._x000D_
Let's not forget the time involved in removing and replacing the foam. One has to also clean more the foam more often (3mnths or so), but more often during the rainy seasons Take my advice, don't spend your money. Stay with the sand.

I'd been thinking about switching our pool to Ecofibre for a while and eventually took the plunge in winter to get the pool ready for summer. It's been a brilliant change. We have quite a large pool and Ecofibre bricks seem to be coping with the pool's volume. I don't use as much chlorine and I've hardly backwashed. And with all the rain we've had recently, my pool has stayed blue throughout it all. There were some teething problems, but the Ecofibre guys are super helpful with troubleshootin...

I bought the product in Nov 2023. Used it for 3 months. After 6 weeks my pool turned murky. Added clarifiers of all kinds, additional Chlorine, used more clarifiers. After a while there was an odd odour. My pool remained murky. I changed back to sand filter. My pool cleared up to 90% crystal clear in 1 to 2 days. Day 3 it was crystal clear and no odour.

For a fish pond, perfect.
For a swimmining pool, terrible.

The only good thing about this product is its weight compared to sand.
If you use stabilized floaters the lack of backwashing causes the stabilizer levels to increase and eventually you have to pump out so much water to reduce stabilizer levels to an acceptable level.
I tried this product for a few months and besides the above issue, it's also a mission to clean the pads.

Brilliant product, leaves a perfectly clear pool and does not disappointment ! Highly recommend
