INGREDIENTS:

FISH CAKE BASE
150ml Water, 75ml Milk, 40g Knorr Mash Flakes, 2g Robertsons Spice for Fish, 2g Dill (fresh), 1g Robertsons Parsley, 12g Robertsons Veggie Seasoning, (As ) Hake, Kingklip, Prawn Meat or Line Fish, 5ml Lime juice + zest, 5g Coriander (fresh, chopped for garnish)
ONION RINGS
50g Knorr Original, Chicken Breading, 2g Robertsons Paprika , 15g Maize flour, 2g Robertsons Cajun Spice, 1 Onion (cut into rings), 250ml Water

RECIPE:
• FISH CAKE BASE:
• In a pot, bring the water to the boil.
• Take the water off the heat, and add the milk. Then add the Knorr Mash Flakes, and stir gently to combine.
• Place the lid on the pot and leave for 2 minutes.
• Add the Robertsons Fish Spice, dill, Robertsons Parsley and Robertsons Veggie Seasoning, and stir through more.
• Steam or poach the fish, and drain the excess liquid. Keep refrigerated until required.
• Add the Robertsons Fish Spice, dill, Robertsons Parsley and Robertsons Veggie Seasoning, and stir through more.
• ONION RINGS:
• In a bowl, mix together all the dry ingredients.
• Dip the onion rings into the water and then into the seasoned breading.
• Repeat this process again.
• Deep-fry until golden brown.
• TO SERVE:
• Mix the fish cake base with the cooked flaked fish, lime juice, zest and coriander.
• Form into fish cakes and pan fry. Serve with onion rings.
