Picked up the Ally Z1 Extreme over the holidays since it was on special. At the new price point it is extremely good value for money.

The only issues I have with the device is it does get quite noisy and hot when playing on Turbo mode as well as the battery which does not last more than 2 hours on demanding games. But the experience with the software - Armoury crate is excellent - you can get the most out of the device and tune the performance to what you want.

Setup was a bit tricky, but man, the ROG is insane. On initial setup a few things didn’t work, had to factory reset and redo it, but that seemed to do the trick. All is working perfect now.

The fact that the ROG is basically a sick gaming pc makes everything so much easier. I installed my XBOX game pass (all progress was there) as well as my Steam games. So cool just continuing on the ROG where I left off with my PC.

Bought this device after lots and lots of research and wow does not disappoint ! From AAA titles to emulation it does it all .
Wish it had more than 512gb of space as I hit that limit in 2 hours .

My rog ally does not sync with my Xbox and I have lost all my saved data. Very disappointing.

Just wish it came with accessories cause it's to expensive and hard to find especially in South Africa where I stay so I cant get a docking station or battery pack as it's way to expensive or not in this country aswell as sd cards with lots of space
