Was the exact same as the part I replaced.

Remove as much as you can from your current HDD as possible, but don't forget to save what you want to keep on another drive of whatever sort you have. After four failures to clone, I did the cleanup, etc., and the clone took on the fifth attempt. I went much quicker as well. And yes, after the clone, SUCCESS! And, it is amazing how much faster the little laptop runs!

Dead out of the box. Using a known good SATA to USB cable, the ssd wasn't recognized by 3 different computers and 2 different operating systems (Win 10 or Linux Mint 20). Disappointing :(

Loaded the free Acronis True Image for Crucial, cloned the drive, which took some time and was back up running with much faster startup and faster web surfing.

glad i keep my cable for the ssd drive from my 5 year old laptop box.. because if you didnt this ssd doesnt include it (you need ribbon cable) sold separately its like 12$. lol no biggie but. some ssd do have it some dont. maybe you kept your ribbon cable like me.. so no worries. works wonderfully.

Great drive, came highly recommended for great SSD algorithms that balance out the memory usage over time and keep the performance long term. Works good, easy to setup. The Acronis Software that is "bundled" is downloaded by link off the crucial web site. Fair warning, the Acronis software has alot of outbound traffic to google analytics, so if you don't want google spyware taking info off your drive, firewall it or pull the lan cable or wifi when using the Acronis Software.
