This is my 3rd Defy washing machine in 40 years. My last one which was 15 years old was in such a good condition that I sold it for 1/3 of the price of the new one. I only buy Defy appliances.

I bought this a week ago and I'm not satisfied. The machine doesn't drain properly and the clothes are wet and not spun enough. Everything I've used it, I've had to drain some excess water manually

The A+++ rating is for the Cottons Eco programs that run from 205 - 255 min. You will save water here, using between 35 - 46.4 liters. I will use the 30min Mini wash predominantly, which uses 60 liters of water, an A rating at best.

There is no countdown display indicating how much time is remaining in a cycle and the 'Spin, Delay, Start' buttons are flimsy.

Besides that, good construction, fairly silent running, clothes come out clean and well rinsed from detergent.

There is nothing physical wrong with unit. Problem is the unit is very tiny (smaller than previous generation). I ordered this unit specifically, to replace with same machine so my Mother will not have to go through learning curve. We read the description to ensure it is likes for likes (both 6 kg). I ordered this as a gift and to be delivered, unfortunately I only now discovered this unit is not as betrayed in description. Unfortunately she has already used it so I am not able to return. The Defy is a good enough washing machine but the normal Cotton eco cycle is too long - more than 2 hours! Also the turning button feels cheaply made and the start button has a delay in starting... otherwise it is not a bad washing machine.

The washing machine seemed fine when we first got it yesterday. It was washing very smoothly and quietly. Until it started the spin cycle. The machine started making a lot of noise while wobbling all over the place. It completely moved out of the slot where its kept, after the cycle completed. The Washing machine looks cheap, feels like it can break at any point from its own motion and jumping around, It nearly wobbled into the wall. We are returning it.
