Do not buy this stove. The hob was faulty out of the box and I called Makro and they sent Defy Technicians to come and fix it. Had I known that it was going to be a problem, I would have asked for my money back. There was a fault with the Hob control module from the factory, the Technicians fixed the problem, now +/- a year later, that hob stopped working again, I called Makro again and the again sent Technicians from Defy, the technicians came and said I must pay +/- R1500 to replace the Hob...

I just cooked our first meal on the slimline hob and it is pathetically under powered, and so disappointing. Our old stove with ceramic plates heated up faster. Our induction plate provides WAY more heat than this hob. There is no real difference in heat between setting 4 or 5 and the max at 9!! Useless! Makro selling off B stock for sure. Bought in Janaury everything fine for a week or so we notice the knob of the oven gets unbearable to touch , the oven timer stops after a few seconds. Were advise by DEFY technician to check installation everything is according to the specification now everyone is quiet. First time the technician confirmed everything on our side is correct it's the oven that the problem only for DEFY to come back to say somethin else we are not sure what too do now.

I bought this set on the first of July 23 and it was delivered a week later. Only used the stove for 2 days and it stopped working. Called Makro who referred me to Defy, a technician came through and they identified the PC board as the being faulty. They ordered the part, meanwhile I had to wait 10 days for the part. Bought the stove 2011 and only started using it end of june when i moved in into my new home . i hardly cook as i stay alone. Yesterday after cooking i was sitting i heared a sound indidnt think it was the stove till this morning when i was cooking soft porridge the stove has a crack. My mom has the same stove same problem Defy manager is very rude and not helpful at all. So i would not recommend this stove to any one . rather go back to the old plate stove I'm so disappointed.

DO NOT BUY THIS STOVE!!!!!!My husband bought me this stove we installed it on Christmas day I only cooked with it once then there was a crack on the plate. Makro doesn't wana refund us they telling us about a Defy technician that needs to assess it! I don't want it anymore I want our money back!!!!!!!

My husband and I bought this a month back and we are very happy with it. The stove top is the best
