These pencils are great for my afternoon drawing binges. The flow easily over the paper. They do not smudge unless I want a smudge. They work very well for my needs.

My daughter was not impressed with this item. The pencils break to easily and it did not come with a special sharpener for soft lead so they just continue to break while sharpening. The set could be better.

The Charcoal Sketch Set was disappointing. I remember from childhood that charcoal pencils were much heavier in weight and did not feel like they would break if you pushed down too hard on them. I received the Faber-Castell charcoal sketch set. The set includes 7 pieces. Those pieces are 2, charcoal sticks, 1 charcoal pencil, 1 compressed charcoal pencil, 1 white pastel pencil, 1 art eraser, and 1 blending stump. This is a very nice set for the professional artist or the casual drawer. This set is good for any one willing to try to draw, no matter what stage you are in. Personally, I do not draw well at all.

This Charcoal Sketch Set is really great. It comes with everything you need to get started doing pencil sketches. Each pencil has a different technique that is super cool to look at in the final product. I never knew pencils could be so different.

I tried out this Charcoal Sketch Set myself and I'm not the greatest artist, but I'm working on it. This is a nice starter set to try some items I have not used before. I like the dark colors and the ability to blend them together. This will be fun to learn!
