Very easy setup. I do not do gaming so I really don;t know.

We have one of these and two Roku devices. The Chromecast occasionally goes into repeated buffering despite being considerably closer to the modem than a Roku. May play for an hour and then go into a fit of buffering. rebooting does not help.

I bought one of these to replace an Onn Android TV box (also from Wal-Mart) since the Onn box remote does not have the ability to change the television channel, either by CEC or direct IR. Turns out this one doesn't either. I'm really not sure why they would include the ability to change the TV input, volume, and power on/off but not the channel.

As it is, I don't see any improvement that the extra $30 for this box gives over the Onn. Save your money and get that.

I really like how responsive the UI is compared to a Fire TV 4K that it is replacing. The apps load quickly and the currently running app is right where I left off if I turn it off and come back later. I like the centralized watchlist support which I'm using to keep a small list of all the shows across services that I'm watching most often or queuing up for Movie Night. The voice commands are working very well, such as my saying "play pets united" and the right apps starts up and ...

I have been looking for awhile for a device that aggregates your services. This device nails it. All your watchlist show's (Netflix, YT TV, Hulu, HBO Max) from one screen.

I love this new Chromecast. You can install all the apps you want and still cast the old way previous versions worked. The small controller is great, and it controls your TV volume as well. Amazing upgrade.

However, they followed Amazon's method of serving ads on the homescreen and not providing an easy way to get rid of all of them. Very disappointing.

A simple device that has Google Assistant and a variety of streaming providers. The main view with relevant videos across providers is great!

I switched from a Roku, so the remote feels very familiar. Unlike Roku, it also has HBOMax.

Its OK. Been having an issue where the volume control will work with the Chromecast remote fine, then when I try again it will stop working. Couple hours later, it will work again. Strange. Also wish their was a play/pause button. The button in the middle of the circle works for Netflix and Hulu, but needs to be pressed twice for YouTube.

Very fast and fluid experience thats not only affordable but looks great. A huge upgrade even over existing smart TVs.
