The sound quality is good but lacks the bass tones JBL is known for within its signature.

Don't get me wrong the speaker is great but stupidly for the sake of £20 bought a refurbed one, not impressed to be honest, speaker not in protective bag, strap missing, charger just thrown in and the instruction's crumpled up in the bottom of the box where the speaker had been wedged in. I returned two Extreme 3 and got
two Charge 5 instead. Surprisingly, the Bass quality was better. Only slightly less loud. WAY more convenient size.

Purchased for my husband and he loves it. It would have been nice if it would have come with a strap, but I guess we can find one somewhere. Great products. We have a couple of other speakers from you guys as well and they are good products.

I love the waterproof rating. I listened to JBL since the 70's and they sound good. The Bose home smart speaker sounded better but I did not keep it either. Bose support needs attention and the need to update the bluetooth connection and get waterproof ratings updated. If the Extreme 3 had more base I would have kept it for portability. I bought this speaker (extreme3) 2 weeks ago and i’m glad i did. Really loud and great quality of sound.

I have own my blue Xtreme3 for 1 year now, it works fine, but I have found that the Xtreme 3 sound very sharp and harsh... this is too bright sound to my ears, and I can not hear the bass drum as well.. Is this speaker too small so that it can't produce that sound (My friends who is an audio engeneer told me that small speaker can not produce the bass drum sound) or it's an accident? I had never drop my Xtreme3 into water before. Thanks! I am a fan of JBL.
