Surprised the heck out of me. Historically, Olympus DAR's have been excellent performers, so while on the run, I purchased this model VN-541PC. I was stunned at how poorly it performed after some quick recording and playback tests. In short it was pathetic. Sound quality et cetera.

Awesome product, exactly what I needed, easy to use

ok this is just simply and honestly one of the most amazing devices. I gave this to my husband who has meetings in the morning and he came home with a smile on his face saying that is was the best thing I could have given him. it helped him review what was said and helped him with his notes.

The Memo and Talk functions work well. The Music and LP not so much. It can't pause, which is unforgivable. Despite that, for under $40, it is good for dictation and for small, closely-held meetings. Playback of Memo and Talk recordings are loud and clear. Playback of Music and LP recordings and low and muffled. As long as your expectations don't exceed those parameters, it is a good recorder, and is certainly affordable. I just wish it could pause and resume during the same dictation/...

Too small. Sound quality was not good

So I was going around looking for a cheep “EVP” or recorder just to see if it was worth it. I’m not sure about anything else but it worked GREAT and I caught some amazing recording. I am very satisfied with this product.

The only reason i got this was to use it for the paranormal. It works fine to me, however i still havent recorded any spirit yet

You cannot pause your recording. So if by any chance something happens you have to start all over again. Ridiculous.

I'm a truck driver, and this works GREAT! for keeping track of milage when crossing state lines. easy one hand operation and shuts itself off after a minute or so.
