    Nedbank CLM WIN 1 OF 3 Cars Competition Terms and Conditions

    Promoter Details

    The promoter is Nedbank Limited, registration number 1951/000009/06 (we, us, our), runs this competition. We reserve the right to make it available to certain clients only.

    (“the Promoter”).

    Eligibility

    1. This promotional competition (“Competition”) is open to:
    2. All South African residents aged 18 years and older who are in possession of a valid South African identity document or a smart card, as well as a valid Driver’s License. If the participant does not hold a valid Driver’s License, the nominated driver must provide theirs for verification purposes; and
    3. Permanent residents of or must permanently reside in South Africa or if foreign national with legal status in South Africa; and
    4. All Nedbank consumer banking clients that have a qualifying Nedbank credit card (see table below);
    5. All Nedbank consumer banking clients whose accounts are in good standing, which means that it may not be in arrears or have been handed over for legal collection.
    6. Our employees (including temporary and contract employees), associated companies, agents, contractors, and sponsors may not participate in the competition.

    Competition Period

    The competition starts on 01 August and ends on 31 January 2026 (competition period).

    Entry Mechanics

    1. To qualify for the prize, you must do the following during the competition period:
    2. spend a minimum of R1500.00 per month using your qualifying Nedbank credit card for two consecutive calendar months.
    3. for every R1500.00 you spend per clause 5.1.1, using a Visa or Mastercard card, you will receive 1 entry into the competition
    4. for every R1500.00 you spend per clause 5.1.1, using an American Express card, you will receive 2 entries into the competition

    Prizes

    If you participate in the competition, you stand a chance to receive 1 of 3 VW Polo 1.4 Trendline manual (Polo Vivo) motor vehicle.

    Non-Interchangeability of Prizes

      1. Prizes awarded in this Competition are strictly non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and cannot be redeemed for cash or credit under any circumstances. The Promoter will not provide any alternative compensation, cash equivalent, or substitute for the prize should the winner decline or be unable to accept the prize for any reason. Winners must accept the prize "as is," and no requests for variations, substitutions, or cash payouts will be considered.
      2. Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or credit. If a specific prize is unavailable, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute it with another prize of equal value in compliance with the Consumer Protection Act.

    Grand Prize Winner Selection

      1. The random computer-generated draw to select the winner(s) will take place the week of 1- 5 December 2025 and 2 – 6 February 2026 via Microsoft Teams and will be recorded. One winner will be selected in each draw. Once a participant has been selected as a winner in any one of the draws, they will no longer be eligible to participate in or win in the remaining draws.

    Winner Selection and Notification for Other Prizes

      1. If you win, the following applies:

        1. You will receive the prize only after we have verified and confirmed your details, including your compliance with these terms and conditions.
        2. We will notify you via a call to the mobile or landline number, we have on record for you.
        3. The notification will occur within five (5) business days following the relevant draw date.
        4. We will try to contact you a maximum of 5 times. If we cannot get hold of you after the fifth try, you will forfeit the prize and we will choose a new winner.
        5. We will not be responsible for any technical failures affecting your participation in the competition or if your entry has been left out from participation.
        6. If a dispute arises, our decision will be final and binding on all aspects of the competition, and we will not discuss the matter further.
        7. All costs or expenses relating to the prize that have not been mentioned here are excluded.
        8. We will not be responsible for any delays in your taking up the prize.
        9. We will not be responsible for any additional conditions that third parties impose.
        10. We will give the prize directly to you and not to anyone else, and we will not replace it with cash.
        11. We will not be liable for delays or failure to deliver any part of the prize resulting from acts beyond our reasonable control. We will let you know as soon as reasonably possible if the prize is affected in this way.

    Liability

    The Promoter, its agents, and suppliers will not be held liable for:

    • Technical failures, such as website downtime or cyberattacks, that may impact entries.
    • Loss, damage, or delays affecting prize delivery.
    • Unused portions of any prize, which will be deemed waived by the winner.
    • Events beyond its control, such as natural disasters or government restrictions, that may affect the Competition.

    Data Privacy

    By entering, participants consent to the processing of their personal information for Competition purposes. Personal data will be retained only as long as necessary for reporting, compliance, or legal purposes and in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). Further processing will require explicit participant consent.

    Intellectual Property

    Participants waive moral rights and grant the Promoter unlimited, perpetual, royalty-free rights to use Competition-related intellectual property created by participants. This applies exclusively to entries and does not include unrelated intellectual property. The Promoter may edit and use such material at its sole discretion.

    Dispute Resolution

    Disputes will be resolved via arbitration in accordance with South African law, with the arbitration decision being final and binding on all parties.

    Amendments and Termination

    The Promoter reserves the right to amend or terminate the Competition with 7 days’ notice in cases of unforeseen circumstances. Participants agree to waive any claims against the Promoter in such instances.

    Social Media Disclaimer

    This promotion is not sponsored, endorsed, or administered by any social media platform. Participants acknowledge that they are providing information to the Promoter, not to any social media channel. The Promoter is not liable for data breaches or technical issues on these platforms.

    General

    1. Participation in the Competition constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions. The
    2. judges’ decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
    3. All information about this competition, including information that is published on any competition al material, is part of these terms and conditions.
    4. By entering in the competition, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
    5. These terms and conditions are available on our website at nedbank.co.za throughout the competition period.
    6. If you win, we may ask you to consent in writing to endorsing, promoting and advertising any of our services, without payment. If you decline our request, you will still receive the prize.
    7. By entering and participating in this competition, you acknowledge that your personal information needed for the competition will be shared with us and our agents, but only to the extent necessary for this competition. Your personal information will be used in line with South African consumer and data protection laws.
    8. We may extend, shorten or cancel the competition immediately and without notifying you if it is permitted by law, if we must do so by law, or for reasons beyond our control. If this happens, you will give up any rights that you may have in terms of this competition and you will have no recourse against us or our agents, contractors or sponsors because of the extension, shortening or cancellation.
    9. We or our directors, employees, agents or suppliers will not be responsible for any direct or indirect loss or damage resulting from your participation in the competition, or for any accident, injury, harm, costs, or death that you or any other person who participates in the prize sustains at any point during the fulfilment of the prize.
