After contacting Ryobi and speaking to the relevant person that oversees this particular Builders store. His name is Craig and to be honest he was quite understanding and very helpful. _x000D_
He instructed Builders to replace it with a new one._x000D_

Bought the saw at builders, returned it within 24 hours due to blade catching the safety cover and the hight adjuster slipping. They exchanged the saw without any problems. Got home tested the new saw...exact same problem

The circular saw works well, only thing I would have liked differently is the blade cover. Would prefer if it were metal and not plastic.
