Replacement Grate - Added addition features to our Grilling Experience

I finally got the chance to use the grate this past weekend. There's much more real estate than if you bank the coals to one side, or if you bank the coals on both sides. There's no need to turn the chicken pieces; but, I did anyway because of the irregular shapes. The grate is much sturdier than the stock grate, and the removable center section allows for easier access to the vortex, and you can use a larger size vortex than may be required.

My family has owned Weber kettles for over 50 years, the quality remains very high. The replacement grill is making everything from veggies to steak like its predecessor.

What more could you want! Easy access to the coals from the flip sides, fits a vortex with the middle removed!

I like everything about this grill. The ease of getting in and out. I like that it fits other Weber accessories. I like using cast iron insert to my steaks the great grill marks. It looks like professional steak house quality. I have other accessories that fit, but I have not used them yet. I will be soon.

I really like the Gourmet BBQ System Cooking Grates, the flip sides make it really easy to add fuel to the fire as you cook and the removable center allows you to add a wok or a cast searing grill to your kettle. The metal bars used to construct the grill have a larger diameter than the older versions of Weber kettle grills and this makes them feel more sturdy, but also easier to clean.
The only down side is you need to remember to remove the center before hanging the grill from the kettle ha...
