The straight out vacuum side works great but so do a few others, however the mopping feature (which is why we purchased it) is really below average and only good for very small not so dirty things to mop like dirty foot prints. The mopping feature is also cumbersome, requires regular changes to avoid dirty water stains and really overrated compared to just grabbing the good old mop and bucket.

I bought this about 6 months ago and use it at least twice a day. I have 2dogs who seem to make it their daily mission to spread fur from one end of the house to the other as well as see how far a single mouthful of water will spread across the floor. IT great for removing the dreaded trail of dog fur. I received this one week ago and have used it several times. Having the capability to “mop” the hard floors and move swiftly onto the carpets is great. I do not enjoy cleaning, but with this cleaner it is OK. The no tangle hair feature is amazing and truly works. Tangling has always been an issue gor me, having long hair. But no more. The Submarine head is fantastic at cleaning up spills and would be great for those with young kids. For routine mopping, the Submarine is far easier to use than a traditional mop, while ensuring the mop head is kept clean throughout. The V15s Detect Submarine is certainly a step up from the vacuum-only machines. I love the fact that it's both a vacuum and a mop - both with the excellent high quality technology of Dyson - so I can quickly and easily clean my whole house's floors in one go._x000D_
